One Delicious Tri-Tip Barbecue Recipe!

Well folks, for this new blog, I thought I would share a BBQ recipe with you. Sure, it's fun to go and try BBQ joints. Someone else does all the hard work of preparing and serving you, and best of all, there's no mess to clean up! Now, I am sure that while we all enjoy eating out every once in a while, you have to agree, there is nothing, and I mean nothing, like preparing it yourself for those you love. Heck, even when I am eating at a BBQ joint, I am constantly critiquing. It is more often than not, nearly as good as what we are used to getting at home. So for this installment, I thought I would start off with something simple, yet delicious. I am talking tri-tip!

Max City BBQ in Los Angeles

Well, it's been a few weeks since my Barbecue Buddy and I went on our week long barbecue journey, so we decided to hit up a place close by, and take it as a picnic to the park where we met our sons. This time we went to Max City BBQ at 4729 Eagle Rock Boulevard in Los Angeles. Since we were coming from the Inland Empire I was hoping it would be worth the trip. Max City BBQ opened in March of 2014 and is a restaurant that was funded with the use of Kick Starter.

Todd's Cookhouse BBQ Oakhust, CA

Our last BBQ stop on our week long trip was Todd's Cook House BBQ in Oakhurst, (check out their Facebook page here!) just outside of Yosemite. This last leg took us about 5 hours. Traveling from Pismo to Oakhurst was hungry business, and you know I am all about taking care of business! Once we checked in at the hotel, it was a short block away to get to Todd's Cook House Bar-B-Que, so we walked. It is a nice little place from the outside. So far so good.

Santa Maria Tri-Tip Pilgrimage

Today we had a chance to drive into Santa Maria, the birth place of Tri-tip, and I was ready to
celebrate that birth! This visit would be to Shaw's Steakhouse Tavern and we were ready to try
the top rated Tri-tip in the area.
